With over 20 years’ proven legal and business experience, both as a legal advisor and small business owner.

Katherine’s expertise lies in advising and representing organizations and businesses on issues pertaining to the marine environment. This includes aquaculture, marine and fisheries law, maritime security and marine resources management.

Known as The Fish Lawyer for her specialisation in aquaculture, marine and fisheries law, Katherine’s unique blend of business and maritime expertise means that you will be provided with a specialised and professional legal solution. The aim is to provide cost effective legal and compliance solutions for your business. Katherine is a regular speaker at international events on legal issues affecting the marine environment and has completed a Masters of Maritime Law.

Katherine is currently the legal counsel for the Association of International Seafood Professionals and has been a Director of the World Aquaculture Society- Asia Pacific Chapter.

In addition to her vast experience of Marine environment, Katherine is also an accomplished lecturer and trainer. Her love of all things education related led to the formation of her own training company, Aquarius Education, which offers a wide range of education programs including Maritime Law and Contract Law fundamentals for non-lawyers.

Katherine has extensive experience in designing and implementing adult education programs within the legal environment, specialising in providing legal knowledge and skills to non lawyers.
